Tina Waldrom interviews Doctor C. Thomas Perry about his death experience and how he went to heaven. Colin had a dramatic encounter with Jesus after dying in an ambulance. His story has touched the lives of many non-believers. The story he tells is extraordinary, thought provoking and inspiring. Many people have encounters with God. The challenge is to share these encounters in ways that connect.
Doctor C. Thomas Perry took years before he published his book on this encounter, Dying To be Alive. In this interview, he is very candid about the reasons behind the delay. Peter Jung from Christmanship is a Christian who loves his sport. He had always wondered how to connect his love for sport with his Christian faith. Tina Waldrom speaks with Cypress based Jung about how to share your faith through sports. Jung’s successful approach to faith and sports is highly influenced by Australian Cam Butler from Urban Rev’s.
The process of meeting people through sports to seeing them become disciples of Christ is a worthy discussion. Jung realised the enormous gap that lies between the sporting field and a church service. Trying to move people from a sporting scenario to the church building bothered Jung. Tina Waldrom speaks with Darryn Keneally from Hope Foundation in Adelaide, South Australia. He is the founder of three welfare organisations and has a high profile in the welfare world. Darryn did not grow up knowing Jesus. As a young man, he found himself involved in the drug and crime scene. It was the kindness of Christians that led him to Christ. Tina Waldrom speaks with Ben Rowe from Streetlight in Adelaide, South Australia. Ben Rowe was a youth pastor in a local church before a significant encounter with God. Finding himself stuck in the all too often world of ministry comparison and the pursuit of 'success', God intervened. Ben felt challenge by the Lord to reconsider what he was doing. The Lord started to challenge Ben around the idea of bringing light in new ways. The challenge was to take the light outside the 4 walls of the church, to a world that did not know Christ.
This encounter with God, sent Ben on a path to discover more about being light in his community. After prayer walking in his city, it became clear to Ben what he needed to do. Ben started to understand that God was at work outside of the church building and his mission was to join God at work. What unfolded from this is remarkable. Many young people’s lives have and are being transformed through the initiatives that Ben has set up.

In this episode, Tina Waldrom speaks with footy coach Kade Klemke. Apart from being involved as a key pastor at Divergent Church in Canberra, Kade is a well-known name in the world of Australian rules football. He shares his journey of sharing faith in the footy world.
As a young Aussie kid growing up in the country, Kade always aspired to being a football player. His dream came true when he was drafted to Essendon Football Club as a rookie. Being a Christian in the world of AFL had its challenges. Kade shares how he navigated this space and what was most important in sharing his faith.
Unforeseen circumstances as a player, led Kade down the path of football coaching. He has coached at local level, and also with the Queanbeyan Tigers and the Canberra Demons. From a young age, he has achieved great success as a coach. He shares openly about the struggles and the triumphs. Tina Waldrom speaks with Sue Baynes who is the spiritual advisor to the Gold Coast Mayor in Queensland, Australia. Sue never prayed for this position, nor did she see the opportunity coming. Sue, a local Christian minister at the time, was asked to come and meet with a gentleman who was running for the Mayor’s office. Sue took up the opportunity, seeing it as a simple way to be connected to her city.
Sue tells the story of what happened on the way to that meeting and how that gentleman, Tom Tate went on to become the Mayor. As the Mayor, Tom was baptised publicly and referred to as the Lord’s Mayor. She has been supporting him and his family ever since. Sue talks about how the gospel influences the Mayor’s life and in turn flows over to the community on the Gold Coast. Tina Waldrom speaks with Scott Morrison who is reaching people who don’t want to hear. Scott found himself among a people group of 100,000, with only 20 identified as Christian. Before arriving in Thailand, Scott ‘trialled’ an Aussie version of mission and evangelism to reach secular people. He has taken many of those lessons overseas as he reaches out to those who need Christ.
This interview took place in Australia, where Scott and his family are presently. They have already spent four years in Thailand and are soon to return.
