Tina Waldrom talks with Sharee Rice about Healing and Evangelism. Sharee is the executive pastor at Neuma Church in Melbourne, overseeing the area of evangelism. Sharee is seeing many people healed and discovering Jesus through everyday encounters. She is a great example of stepping into the everyday opportunities that God opens up. Stepping into and praying for people to be healed, in everyday spaces. She shares her story of losing faith in this area, but then becoming confident again, in Healing and Evangelism.
As a young person, Sharee suffered from asthma. Due to her own illness, she was keen to see God’s healing touch in her life. She developed a hunger to know about healing and what the Christian faith said. Sharee became a student of the great healing evangelists and revivalists. All was going well until God disappointed her. Sharee had been praying for a sick relative, who was not healed and passed away. That experienced pushed her away from the confidence that she had, to see sick people healed. Many years later, through an unexpected circumstance, the Lord spoke to Sharee and restored her faith and assurance to pray for healing. Today, she is confidently intersecting the lives of many non-believers, seeing God bring His healing and love to their worlds.
In this episode, Sharee speaks openly and honestly, about the struggles and joys of praying for healing with non-believers. She shares her own stories and unique ways to pray for people in the community without being ‘weird’. Sharee models how to pray for others, ‘as you go’ about everyday life. She makes praying for the sick, for those who don’t know Christ, simple, easy and doable in today’s world. With warmth and genuine love for people, Sharee’s story will help many grow in the area of Healing and Evangelism.
In this podcast episode, you will discover…

Tina Waldrom talks with Joe Vettoor about Miracles & The Goodness of God, NOT Fear. Joe’s conviction is that the goodness of God, not fear, leads people to repentance. People need to know the love of God. Joe spent ten years door knocking and sharing Christ. He likens that time to ‘selling fire insurance’ to non-believers. Today, he majors on the love of God as he prays for healing on the streets in Western Australia. Joe shares his journey to becoming a witness for Christ that majors on the goodness of God for all of humanity. This is an inspiring story with great insights for healing and evangelism.
After watching people healed, Joe moved from knowing about Christ to personally knowing Him. With this revelation and heart change, he became passionate about sharing his faith. It was the love of the Father that grabbed Joe’s attention and he attributed the healings and miracles to that love. He became convinced that the love of the Father is what people needed to know and understand. He was invited to some evangelism training that equipped him to share his faith, walking from door to door. Although this was somewhat effective, Joe longed for a way to share his faith, that was more authentic and consistent with the declaration that, ‘God is good’. It was at this time, that he walked up to a man sitting under a tree in Western Australia. This moment changed everything for Joe. Today, the story is still unfolding as Joe sees people come to Christ through Miracles & The Goodness of God, NOT Fear.
In this episode, Joe talks about the differences between sharing your faith with a harsh edge to one that is more consistent with the message, that God is a good and loving Father. He talks about and demonstrates how he has been able to reveal the Fathers love to people by praying for healing. Miracles & The Goodness of God, NOT Fear is Joe’s message to a world that needs Christ.
In this podcast episode, you will discover…
Why a good God needs to be heard in the gospel message.
The difference between fear based & grace-based evangelism.
How to pray for people so the goodness of God is revealed.
The need for a Loving Father to be declared and revealed.
Stories of the goodness of God leading people to repentance.
A way of healing evangelism that demonstrates God’s heart.
What to say in love when you approach people to pray for healing.
The barriers for churches to overcome to disciple people from the streets.
Joe’s stories of healing and how the goodness of God draws people.

Tina Waldrom talks with David Miles about Being Gospel Centred in our Mission. David is a church planter in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales. He is on the leadership team of Soma Australia and is encouraging the formation of Gospel Communities to reach people for Christ. Gospel Communities focus on the centrality of the gospel, and its implications for life and mission. The use of the term gospel, rather than missional, provides some unique perspectives.
Serving others, loving others and having a specific mission are at the heart of what David talks about. Knowing Christ, living in community and living for others, are the heart of his message. David has planted a number of churches, his current plant being the most effective. Experience, wisdom and a partnership with Soma Australia, has given him new understandings to be more effective. David’s insights into the Australian community, how Jesus is best revealed and declared are very insightful.
In this episode, David gives the practical application to the underpinning theology and philosophy of Gospel Communities. He talks about the practical elements of his own Gospel Community, and what the church gathering looks like. He goes on, to give some ideas on how an existing church, may head in the direction of Gospel Communities. David’s insights to effectively move a group of people, into Christ and out to the community, are valuable for all believers.

Tina Waldrom talks with Adam Low about Relevant and Intercultural Mission. How do you reach secular society in relevant ways, with an intercultural approach? How do you see genuine conversions to Christ through the power of His gospel? Adam is the Chairperson of Propel Network and the Lead Pastor from Real Life Christian Church in South of Brisbane.
Propel Network is the formalization of what was a fairly informal gathering of leaders from across the more evangelical parts of the Uniting Church who would gather annually, but also just to encourage one another around common ground. The network is about conversion growth and church planting, with a focus on young leaders and confidence in the gospel of Jesus Christ, to transform lives and communities.
In this episode, Adam talks specifically about being relevant to the culture today. He goes on to discuss the importance of an intercultural, not multicultural viewpoint. Australia has moved on; we live in a post Christian age. When we leave our homes, go to work, go to the shops, or out to play sport, we have to acknowledge that we are missionaries, in a foreign land. When we consider the many cultures, the approach needs to be one of engagement, learning from each other. Not merely, many cultures, living and learning independently. Adam’s insights for effective outreach and evangelism are valuable for all believers.
In this podcast episode, you will discover…
Why churches need to take a different approach to reaching communities.
How to be relevant in sharing your faith today. Watch Video.

Tina Waldrom talks with Elli Kop who said, No to Fashion Yes to Jesus. Elli, an accomplished professional in the fashion world, felt prompted by God, to move in a new direction. After looking intentionally at her own life and clarifying her abilities, she said yes to bringing the good news to communities. Elli shares the process of discovery and what she is doing today at Collective Hope Community Services, in Western Australia.
Now serving the Lord to bring hope, life and love to communities, Elli is surprised by how much of her fashion world experience, is helpful today. The people skills, the administrative capacity and ‘industry’ know-how are all being used, in new ways to help people discover Christ.
In this episode, Elli challenges believers to consider what they are doing, and what the future holds. In her early fifties, Elli considered and embraced the changes that have moved her into the second half of life. She shares the satisfaction of using her gifts to partner with God on mission. Tina Waldrom talks with Chris Friend about The Gospel and Disability. Chris is the CEO of Collective Hope Community Services in Perth, Western Australia. Chris never imagined that his life, and the life of the churches he leads, would minister in this direction. Seeking to meet the needs of the local community, the heart of Jesus led him, and his team to spaces of disability. He talks openly about the cost of following Christ into this area and the great joy of seeing restoration in Jesus’ name.
Chris Friend is local pastor who has planted a number of churches. He is also the national leader for IPHC Ministries. In 2014, a group of people from his church, Collective Hope, recognised the issue of homelessness in their area. An initial home was set up to minister to the need, and further homes developed from there. Mental health disabilities became apparent among those they were ministering to and as a response, Collective Hope Disability Services was set up. Today, there is a host of services that are offered, meeting the community needs. CHDS is now an accredited NDIS provider in Perth, bringing hope and life to many.
In this episode, Chris talks about the way Christians should view disability and the role the church can play. He talks passionately about the ‘proclamation’ of the gospel and the ‘doing’ of the gospel. He sees them both as different sides of the one coin. One cannot exist without the other. Chris discusses the need for people to see and experience Christ, not just hear about Him. His contention is that Aussies need to see how Jesus can be the answer to their problem. People need to see how the good news can help them not merely hear about it.
In this podcast episode, you will discover…
How Christians can minister to those with disability.
What the Bible says about the gospel and disability.
How the Collective Hope Disability Services came about.
The story of a local pastor developing an effective community service.
The starting point for churches to develop a community service.
Stories of people finding Christ as they see Him in the lives of believers.

Change is Needed in Mission & Evangelism. Tina Waldrom interviews the National Director of Catalyse Change to discuss this topic. Steve Roggero, also the senior minister of Sydenham Baptist Church, is passionate about the church fulfilling the great commission. Steve’s contention is that the modern, western church has made unknowing, small steps in a direction that has not been healthy. Not optimal for the overall mission of God. He talks about the power of discipleship as a way forward.
Steve Roggero was a youth minister for many years, being privileged to see a great number of believers formed into strong disciples of Christ. Trained and equipped for the mission of God. Following Christ seems to be different now. Steve, who is a respected preacher, teacher, coach and mentor, reflects on why things are different and why Change is Needed in Mission & Evangelism. His wisdom, experience and leadership are helping many church leaders make the necessary changes to see the great commission fulfilled. To see disciples of Christ made.
In this episode, Steve talks about the ingredients that were present when he witnessed the effective ways that people were made into disciples of Christ. He talks about a type of discipleship that naturally articulated into people being about the mission of God. Where did things go wrong? Why did things change? What are the answers to recalibrate? Steve, gives some wise and insightful responses to these questions and more. This is an episode for everyone to engage with, for everyone to wrestle through.

In this episode, Charles shares about the importance of serving the local community, without the often-wrong agendas. He talks openly about a wrong focus on results but explains the outcomes he is looking for. He discusses the real need for pastors to see or experience gospel results but redefines what this can look like. He shares stories from the church’s community arm, Hope Centre and also from the programs being run to encourage teenagers in schools, Hope Tour. There are many lessons and insights to be gained in this episode.
