Tina Waldrom speaks with Tracy Lauersen about The Gospel and Family Violence. As it nears Christmas, many are finding life challenging. The Australian government reported that 2.2 million Aussies have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from a partner and 3.6 million Australians have experienced emotional abuse from a partner. The Gospel must bring hope to those experiencing violence. Tracy shares her story of involvement and how Christians can be a light in this space.
Many believers are not aware of the prevalence of family violence, in and outside of faith communities. Learning a little in this space can help many. Tracy is the conveyor of the family violence working group with the Anglican church in Australia. Her journey into this space began with the shocking realisation of the problem. Christians should stand up and do something. Tracy talks about how and why she became involved. She talks about the research conducted into this space, the alarming findings and the solutions proposed.
In this episode, Tracy shares her wisdom and expertise around family violence. She gives a wonderful overview of the issue and how people can respond. How I Reached My Neighbourhood with Bree Mills, is an extraordinary listen. In this podcast episode, Tina Waldrom speaks with Bree about what she did to bring the good news to her local community. Bree shares the extraordinary dream she had, and how that was the catalyst for change in her outward focused life. Bree is passionate about Christ being seen in the community and although she has some invaluable methods of achieving that, the starting point is not a program. Not everyone is going to walk into a traditional form of church. Not everyone is going to fit into an existing model of church. Like trying to fit square pegs into round holes, not everyone is going to become a disciple of Christ in the ways often imagined. New ways, new forms of church are needed for many. Bree, who thoroughly understands the concept of micro church, unpacks her personal insights and pathway to revealing Christ in her own local area.
In this episode, Bree shares her background in church work and the journey she has been on to exploring different ways of making disciples. She talks about a tailored community approach and what’s important when bringing the gospel. Bree talks openly about the challenges she has faced and shares the insights, that are now helping others share Jesus locally. A genuine love for the local community is the starting point for Bree. Sharing Jesus When Your Health Is Failing

Tina Waldrom speaks with Tracy Lauersen about Sharing Jesus When Your Health is Failing. Tracy is the minister at Warragul Anglican Church in Victoria. She had her own brush with cancer. “Don’t waste your cancer”, was the approach that Tracy took after reading some literature by John Piper. Tracy talks about the change of mindset she embraced and how this helped her reach people for Christ. Today she is well and cancer free. Christian believers are called to share their faith in all situations but that can be difficult. Tracy shares the very real challenges of her health journey and how she approached this as a believer. Sharing Jesus When Your Health is Failing is something she unexpectantly mastered.
Like most people, Tracy did not expect to receive the news that she had cancer. She did not expect that part of her ministerial life, would take her on a journey of ill health. She had to reconcile her physical challenge with her Christian faith. By nature, Tracy is a private person. Having to be honest and open about her cancer did not come easy. She received great encouragement when she realised that God was not surprised by her predicament and that He could use it for the good.
In this episode, Tracy talks honestly about her very private journey. She shares the wonderful stories of other people’s lives being changed through her circumstance. Embracing the mindset, that God had for her at the time was the key. It was the key for her to move through her situation and the key for others to hear about Christ. The stories are inspirational. They show a God who is at work through all parts of the Christian life. They show a God who is on mission even through tough circumstances. They reveal the power of the Holy Spirit to bring healing to others even when our own healing is needed.  For anyone whose health is failing, this is an episode that can help and inspire you forward.

My Journey to Christian Podcasting with Tina Waldrom

In this special edition episode, My Journey to Christian Podcasting, Tina Waldrom talks about her adventure into the podcasting world and what it takes to be a podcaster. Recently, The Win Win Evangelism Podcast was nominated and is now a finalist for Christian Podcast of the Year. Tina is often asked how she got into podcasting and what it takes to have a show. In this episode, Tina talks candidly as to why she got involved, the process to releasing an episode, and the practical skills required.
Tina started podcasting in March 2020. In Australia, this was around the time that COVID-19 was hitting.  Up until this time, Tina had been involved for decades in Christian ministry. Largely, her time was spent working for churches and Bible colleges. And specifically in equipping people to do the work of evangelism. In 1992, Tina met Christ in San Diego, California. Since the time she has always felt a calling to encourage believers to share their faith in easy and natural ways. The Win Win Evangelism Podcast is an expression of that calling.
In this episode, Tina talks about the journey that led her to become a podcaster. She talks about the many years of Christian ministry and what she was doing before heading her own organisation. Podcasting was not something that Tina knew about or was engaged with. The art of podcasting is something that she learnt. Her knowledge and skill to podcast has been finetuned over the now 139+ episodes that have been produced. Tina talks about the things she did to learn and what she uses to practically record and release episodes weekly. This is an insightful and helpful episode for anyone who is interested in the art of podcasting.

Is Friendship Evangelism Dead?

Tina Waldrom speaks with Jo Hood to explore the question, Is Friendship Evangelism Dead? Jo is the visionary CEO of mainly Ministries. mainly Ministries have thirty plus years’ experience helping churches with community engagement. Genuine friendships between believers and the community are key when it comes to Jesus being revealed. The concept of friendship, what that means and how friendship is developed needs a fresh approach. Is Friendship Evangelism Dead? With Jo’s definition, maybe it is.
 
Jo Hood heard all about friendship evangelism as she grew up in church. It was talked about with a high level of intentionality. The goal was to befriend people with the intent of sharing the gospel. At the time, this approach to evangelism was exciting and new. Thousands of people have shared their faith this way over the years. However, taking a deeper look at this approach, Jo feels that through her experience, there are some inherent pitfalls with the methodology.

Tina Waldrom speaks with journalist James Macpherson about Evangelism, The Media & Woke Culture. Understanding the times and how to engage with current culture, is what James does best. The western world is becoming increasingly complex and intolerant. Intolerant of many, including those of the Christian faith. Tina and James discuss some of the prevailing cultural narratives and the implications to sharing the gospel.
James, a Christian himself, writes for Rebel News, Sky News, and The Spectator Australia. The James Macpherson Report engages with faith, politics, and culture. It is an informative and often provocative daily read. As a journalist, James is immersed in the conversations of the day. He hears and sees the issues that society face and has the privilege to respond through the media. Tina Waldrom speaks with Markus Watson who is Helping Churches Get into The Neighbourhood. Markus, a pastor in California, had an opportunity through hardship, to reassess the real purpose of the church.  He shares his journey and the powerful insights he received. Through pain and repositioning, Markus has developed a successful framework to help churches get into the neighbourhood. He is real, honest and raw as he shares a tried method that is helping many churches live out the mission of God.
Before being involved with church work, Markus aspired to work in the Hollywood movie industry. That dream, after many years had to be forgone as the tension between Hollywood and following Jesus became untenable. After attending Fuller Theological Seminary, Markus pursued the call of God to ministry as a vocation. That was going along very well until it wasn’t. His crisis or dark night of the soul experience led him to a new place of fruitfulness. He is now Helping Churches Get into The Neighbourhood.
In this episode, Markus talks about his journey to ministry and the struggles that have caused him to focus on neighbourhood impact. He shares the framework he discovered, and is using, to help churches move outward to the community. He talks about a process that involves action and reflection. Tina Waldrom speaks with Wez Hone about Business and Sharing Jesus. Wez is the Founder at Kingdom Business Global and Business GreenHouse. He has always been an entrepreneur but has not always been a Christian. In the early years and after moderate success in business, Wez felt a void. There was a level of unfulfillment that was not being addressed. When Wez unexpectedly met Jesus, the void was filled, and his view of business changed dramatically. Today, as a very successful businessman, it’s all about making disciples. He sees Business and Sharing Jesus as two sides of the same coin.
Wez can remember the moment he was invited to church. At that time, his understanding of church and Christianity was very limited. The feelings he experienced as he stepped into this new space, were overwhelmingly good. It sent him on a path to explore who Jesus was and he found Christ in an unstructured, organic way. It was a critical moment in his life and business. The Lord began to show Wez what kingdom business was and how to go about it.
In this episode, Wez talks about his lifetime desire to do business and how it looks today. He talks about his personal shift to becoming a kingdom business and what that means for him. As a Christian who happens to be in business, he employs many people who are not Christ followers yet. He shares his thoughts on running a business that is both profitable and making disciples. Taking Opportunities to Connect People to The Gospel

Tina Waldrom speaks with Stu Cameron about Taking Opportunities to Connect People to The Gospel. Stu is the relatively new, CEO and Superintendent of Wesley Mission in NSW, Australia. Tens of thousands are ministered to each year. Yet, during this, Stu and his team have discovered a God, who is wanting to push them into new spaces and to see new opportunities, for the gospel. Everyone can become familiar and comfortable with what God has done. Stu talks about new opportunities and what it takes to follow the Holy Spirit into those spaces.
 
With over 200 years of history, Wesley Mission has always had a heart to reach the lost and broken, through the gospel. The beginnings of this great Australian organisation started with a convicted felon, a lawyer and a school teacher. The history is colourful and the leaders are noteworthy. In January 2021, Stu Cameron was welcomed as the new leader. His brave and humble leadership is helping the organisation embrace new opportunities for the gospel.
 
In this episode, Stu talks about the history and effectiveness of Wesley Mission but points to the opportunities that God is revealing. He recognises the strength and wisdom in collaboration, and the necessity of an intimate relationship with Christ. His story is refreshing to hear. Why Social Justice Matters with Rachel Dunwell

Tina Waldrom speaks with Rachel Dunwell about Why Social Justice Matters. As a young person, Rachel experienced the negative effects that exploitation, control ­­and abuse can have. The freedom that Christ intends for all, is something that Rachel is now very passionate about. Rachel has always had a sense of ‘calling’. Calling to somehow serve nations. Looking backwards, the fingerprints of God are obvious. Through many ministry appointments, she has been equipped to know Why Social Justice Matters.
­Today Rachel works for Destiny Rescue in Australia. Her role is to ensure that children can experience freedom. Freedom from exploitation, control and abuse. The way that Rachel unpacks her journey, how she explains, Why Social Justice Matters, is more than motivational. Her lived experiences, coupled with Godly insights and wisdom, are helping many understand that social justice matters. She is constantly creating opportunities for others to be involved in social justice.
In this episode, Rachel talks about her own journey. A lifelong journey to understand more fully, the heart of God for the marginalised and the oppressed. She has not always worked in the social justice space, but it seems that her destiny was always this. She has always cared, and she has always loved others. Her story of how God has shaped her and Why Social Justice Matters is inspirational.
