In this episode, Easy Evangelism with Tina Waldrom, Tina teaches on evangelism and how it can be easy. Over many years of both engaging in the work of outreach and studying the ministry of evangelism, Tina has discovered some keys that make evangelism easier. In this episode, Tina presents different perspectives on evangelism and how they make the work easier or harder. Bible passages are discussed, and practical examples given. This is solid biblical teaching with everyday examples.
Many people go about the work of evangelism with a mindset that ultimately makes the work harder. Their perspective is incorrect. People exploring and coming to faith is the work of the Holy Spirit. It is only God who can turn the hearts of people. It is only Him who soften hearts and open doors for His word to enter. Yet often when evangelism is discussed, it reveals an underlying belief that God is not ultimately the one doing the work. That ultimately, God is not the one who is responsible to do the softening, the door opening and the saving. It’s often a subtle difference but one that makes all the difference.
In this episode, Tina teaches about varying perspectives and asks the listener to locate themselves within a perspective. She talks about the concept of sentness and joining God in His work. Tina looks to the Bible to see what it says and how it shows a way, where evangelism is easy. The underlying thoughts that Tina encourages people to adopt, facilitate Easy Evangelism. This is an insightful and helpful episode for anyone who is wanting to engage in evangelism with greater ease.
In this podcast episode, you will discover…

The correct mindset to facilitate easy evangelism.
How your perspective influences your outreach.

Tina Waldrom speaks with Jo Hood to explore the question, Is Friendship Evangelism Dead? Jo is the visionary CEO of mainly Ministries. mainly Ministries have thirty plus years’ experience helping churches with community engagement. Genuine friendships between believers and the community are key when it comes to Jesus being revealed. The concept of friendship, what that means and how friendship is developed needs a fresh approach. Is Friendship Evangelism Dead? With Jo’s definition, maybe it is.
Jo Hood heard all about friendship evangelism as she grew up in church. It was talked about with a high level of intentionality. The goal was to befriend people with the intent of sharing the gospel. At the time, this approach to evangelism was exciting and new. Thousands of people have shared their faith this way over the years. However, taking a deeper look at this approach, Jo feels that through her experience, there are some inherent pitfalls with the methodology.
In this episode, Jo talks about the solutions that mainly Ministries offer and how evangelism is connected. Over the thirty plus years of involvement, the Holy Spirit has revealed to Jo some best practices when it comes to Jesus being revealed. Jo shares the ethos that sits behind the community engagement work that she is recommending. She explains why friendship evangelism is dead and a better way forward to seeing Christ revealed.
In this podcast episode, you will discover…
What friendship evangelism is.
The downsides of friendship evangelism.
The need to be present BUT to say something.
How to tweak friendship evangelism to be more Christ-like.
Some examples of the Holy Spirit leading in evangelism.
The effective ethos of mainly Ministries.
What a whole life approach to mission is about?

This summer in Australia, we are showcasing the top 5 episodes listened to in 2022. This is #5.
Tina Waldrom talks with Chris Friend about The Gospel and Disability. Chris is the CEO of Collective Hope Community Services in Perth, Western Australia. Chris never imagined that his life, and the life of the churches he leads, would minister in this direction. Seeking to meet the needs of the local community, the heart of Jesus led him, and his team to spaces of disability. He talks openly about the cost of following Christ into this area and the great joy of seeing restoration in Jesus’ name.
Chris Friend is local pastor who has planted a number of churches. He is also the national leader for IPHC Ministries. In 2014, a group of people from his church, Collective Hope, recognised the issue of homelessness in their area. An initial home was set up to minister to the need, and further homes developed from there. Mental health disabilities became apparent among those they were ministering to and as a response, Collective Hope Disability Services was set up. Today, there is a host of services that are offered, meeting the community needs. CHDS is now an accredited NDIS provider in Perth, bringing hope and life to many.
In this episode, Chris talks about the way Christians should view disability and the role the church can play. He talks passionately about the ‘proclamation’ of the gospel and the ‘doing’ of the gospel. He sees them both as different sides of the one coin. One cannot exist without the other. Chris discusses the need for people to see and experience Christ, not just hear about Him. His contention is that Aussies need to see how Jesus can be the answer to their problem. People need to see how the good news can help them not merely hear about it.
In this podcast episode, you will discover…
How Christians can minister to those with disability.
What the Bible says about the gospel and disability.
How the Collective Hope Disability Services came about.
The story of a local pastor developing an effective community service.
The starting point for churches to develop a community service.
Stories of people finding Christ as they see Him in the lives of believers.
